Food Tours of New York’s Immigrant Neighborhoods

On Saturday, May 19, Feet in 2 Worlds will host a culinary tour of Jackson Heights, one of New York City’s most diverse and exciting immigrant neighborhoods. Since 2005 Fi2W has been telling the stories of today’s immigrants. And there is no more universal way to tell these stories than through food. From Tibetan momos (steamed dumplings served with hot chile sauce) to fresh, hand-made quesadillas, tour-goers will feast on great flavors while gaining an insider’s knowledge of where to find extraordinary ethnic food and a street-level look at the economic and cultural life of this vibrant immigrant community.
