Small businesses in NYC are about to get a boost. The City Council, in partnership with Mayor Bloomberg, Deputy Mayors Steel and Holloway, and the NYC Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications, will be unveiling new programs in the coming year aimed at creating a more favorable regulatory environment for small businesses and facilitating permit and license application processes. Initiatives will also include expanding city-wide broadband service and increasing high-speed internet accessibility for businesses and residents. More information can be found here and here.
In July and August, Empire State Development will also offer a series of small business outreach workshops in all five boroughs. For a full listing of dates and locations along with other small business resources, check here.
