In partnership with Workforce Housing Group, Kelly Street Garden, and Banana Kelly Community Improvement Association, The Laundromat Project is transforming a 2 bedroom apartment on Kelly Street in Longwood, South Bronx into a thriving creative community hub, with artist studios, arts programming, and community partnerships that engage the larger Kelly Street community.
Working Waterfront: Memories Hold Through Sept 18
Staten Island Arts presents Memories Hold, an interactive and multimedia exhibit that explores and documents the rich cultural traditions of Staten Island’s historic maritime districts as well as those of new immigrant communities hailing from water-based environments worldwide. The Culture Lounge at St. George Ferry Terminal will host the exhibition, story harvests and a film series.
