Arts, Culture and Public Housing Communities is focused on what arts and culture are particularly good at accomplishing: engaging creativity and imagination, healing trauma, breaking down isolation and stigma, bringing together diverse people, and connecting public housing communities with their neighbors. CONVENINGS AND FORUMS

We invite our broader public network to citywide forums, convenings, and our annual co-sponsored Cultural Organizing for Community Change workshop. More info

PUBLIC ACTIVITIES AND TOURS

Through partnerships with cultural institutions like Friends of the High Line, PS1, and Municipal Art Society, public activities and tours help exemplify work grounded in communities. More info

NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECTS

Neighborhood-based work is largely accomplished through a citywide network of partners. But we also work on the ground in specific neighborhoods—like Kensington and Gowanus, Brooklyn—partnering with communities to help them scale up their cultural capacity. More info
