Following up on our Peer Learning Exchange: Immigration held in late 2017, Raquel de Anda (No Longer Empty), Abou Farman (Art Space Sanctuary) and NOCD-NY invited a core group of allies to come together at Downtown Art on September 12, 2018 to explore what arts and cultural organizations and organizers might be able and willing to do to support immigration rights.

This exchange helped inform the What Can We Do? Immigration and the Cultural Community summit organized by Art Space Sanctuary, No Longer Empty and the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs on October 31st.

If you would like to be a part of the Immigration Matters: Arts & Culture Network (IM:ACN) listserv, a semi-private group that came out of these conversations, you can request access here. The network is for art and cultural organizations and organizers in the NYC-tri-state area to circulate notices of events, share ideas and resources, work towards collaborative projects, and build solidarity and mutual support around immigration-related matters.
