South Bronx Tours: Cultural Hubs and Community Anchors

On October 26, 2018, the NOCD-NY network came together at THE POINT CDC for a peer learning exchange on Cultural Hubs and Community Anchors, highlighting examples in the Bronx. Participants of the exchange shared experiences and information about the role and value of hubs and anchors as a key part of equitable and culturally vital communities. The exchange was extended with tours and visits in the South Bronx, including:

  • Lunch at La Morada with Yajaira Saavedra

  • A Hunts Point Village of Murals and Environmental Justice Tour with THE POINT CDC and local artist Chen Carrasco
